Ayewa is a California non-profit corporation with a standard management structure. A small, volunteer board of directors makes major policy and program decisions. The people currently serving on the board have backgrounds in environmentalism, biology, the organic movement, management, and health care. The board meets quarterly.

For now, two of the directors are also serving as volunteer corporate officers. The officers handle practical day-to-day details as well as secretarial and financial duties. Stephen Cummings is Ayewa's CEO.

As Ayewa grows we plan to:

• form an advisory council made up of people with expertise in climate change issues and public policy, and who represent diverse, international perspectives
• bring on a professional chief executive to oversee operations.
